I have a JV1010 with one expansion slot available. I'm interested in getting either the Vintage Synths card or the one from the 60's and 70's. Anyone have any experience with these particular expansion cards?

Dunamis,
I do have both expansion boards. These boards have their own pallet of sounds. What kind of music do you play ? What kind of sound are you looking for ?

I have the HIP HOP board that I can live with out. I never use rhythm loops or the kind of samples that are loaded in this one. I'll make you a swap deal for another board or you can buy it outright.
I have the 60's & 70's board - it's great for organs, and pretty good for electric pianos, and clavs and the like.

I have the 60s 70s board. I think the Roads sounds and such would be great for R&B. Seeing as how the Roland units don't really have very good electric piano sounds. I don't have the vintage synthe board, but I've downloaded an entire floppy disk from the internet full of synthe sounds. I think you'd be better off with the 70s board and downloading synthe patches. Good synthe patches are fairly easy to create from the onboard sounds; at least I think so.
OTOH, the hiphop board might be a good choice as well. It's got a few electric piano and organ sounds, plus loops, hits, basses, vocal effects, etc.
