I blasted this guy for his recent controversial performance of a few weeks ago. I stand by those comments. Someone sent me a link of this early performance of his about five years ago.

It is Broadway caliber. Pitch, phrasing, diction and dialect, dynamics are absolutely top notch.

I hope this guy takes a different career path because his skill set is exceptional...

Unfortunately, with most of today's 'pop' stars, it is not so much about talent, as it is about how outrageous and over the edge you can be ... I have no idea what Adam Lambert thinks personally, but I am willing to bet his "advisors/handlers" will keep him on the path he showed at the awards show ... too bad ...

Talented kid, in spite of the hazards of the business and personal choices.

Outrageous and over the edge is nothing new and is okay if you have the talent to back it up. Think Elvis 1955. Lambert does have the goods and I think he'll straighten out. Whether he'll be this generation's Elvis is for time to decide. Myself, I have strong doubts about that.

He might actually prolong his career if he went toward Broadway and played it fairly (marketing wise) straight.

Bill, liked the (market-wise) assessment!

You're right!
