In way of explanation, I am coupling the Nord to the Technics to use my new Neo-Instruments Ventilator which is by far , the most accurate simulation of the Leslie 122 I have heard. The midi box isn't needed on the G70 nor the Kurzweil 2661 I just acquired. For arranger applications, the G-70 plays sequenced data without interfering with the midi setup(like it is supposed to). Conversely, the Technics can't(or won't) do this.
I finally have it all. The Kurz has great orchestral sounds for my band work, and can use the Ventilator without the Nord to great advantage in it's KB program. I had wanted to use the G-70 for a do all board, but I wasn't able to get the layered section sounds I wanted. As usual, if I can't make it, I buy it.
