Hi Gang,
I'm now part of the Bose compact crowd.
Got 2 of them for better stereo sound.
Sold my Mackies for a good price.
I'm getting to old to log those things around and lift them on a pole.
The set up with the Bose is soooooo fast and they are sooooo light weight.
It'll take me some time to set them up to my liking, as the sound is quite different.
I talked to Gary Diamond (Travelin Easy) for about an hour on the phone yesterday.
What a nice guy. He gave me a lot to work with.
I love this place. You get to talk to some really cool people if you need/want to.
Eric

Hi Eric
Nice to see you over here. I know you will love them. I have an L1 and Compact and wouldn't leave home without one. Gary has been a big help to me, also, over the years.

Congrats on the Compacts. Let us know how you set them up and how they perform for you.

Gary Diamond is one of the best and most giving persons I've ever not met. He has been so much help to so many of us. Just the other day he offered to do me a big favor, just because. He's great!

Let me add my congratulations to you and acknowledge Gary’s contributions. I’m still trying to emulate Gary’s 10 minute set up and tear down technique – best I can do is 20+ minutes. Hopefully, Gary, DonM and others will test the M-10DX and let us know how to enhance the sound of the Bose compact – yeah, I got the Edirol before I heard it in action… Fran has never steered us wrong()
Ciao,
Jerry

Thanks for the kudos everyone--just glad I could help.

Jerry, I've got the setup down to about 7 minutes now, and the next chance I get I'll have my daughter put something on U-tube. One of the items that makes the setup so fast is the custom console I designed and constructed. DonM and Bill Semilivemusic both liked the console and asked me to make one for each of them. The schedule is fairly hectic this coming month, but hopefully, I'll be able to squeeze some time in to put them together.

Eric is a very nice guy who I talked with in the past. He is extremely knowledgeable and talented and I'm confident that he will love the Bose L1 Compacts as much as most of the other owners on the forum.

Cheers,

Gary

Steve,

You might want to wait until you get a closeup look at the console, hopefully sometime this summer.

Speaking of trips North, I haven't heard anything more about the NJ/Phila contingent coming North have you Steve??? ... could be they are too busy gigging, or more likely don't want to deal with two PROUD WORLD CHAMPION NEW YORK YANKEES fans ...
t.
PS ... sorry ... I'm NOT trying to hijack this thread ... back to the Bose ...

Trying to talk Gary to head up north plenty of sailing in and around Newport and great restaurants too. Of course good company too! On the drive up via 95 you pass Frankieve's store too.

I have a couple open, 4-day slots during mid and late summer--time enough to make it to your neighborhood.

Cheers,

Gary
