I just bought 128M SIMM for $110 recently on the net: hope it works.

BTW, does anyone know if tin or gold pins are recommended for the 5080? The Roland manual doesn't say (I ordered tin)....

Ok don't everybody jump me at once but I own a Roland JV50 and I happen to love the damn thing. I got this keyboard when I first started learning how to play about 5 years ago. I bought it brand new and I love it. I also own a Korg X5D and a Korg N364 workstation. I think I have a pretty good arsenal.

I've seen those ads too, for 64MB SIMMS for about $55 each. They are right next to ads for other manufacturers for $250. Why the discrepancy? Are the more expensive ones better?

I don't know: I just got mine and they work fine.

You should post that question on www.5080land.com forum: there are some engineer-types there who know computers and hardware.

I also posted a mistake in the XV-5080 manual re: SIMM installation over there.

Hehe, I didn't even read the manual (on the simms area that is), I just had to find out while I had skafuddles installing my own memory bar.. and well, it's not working, it has TIN leads ( i just wish i didn't buy befor this tread came up at the Land
