I'm reading and learning. I have never been happy with the E50 or E80 pianos, but I can see I need to edit them. Not really using the Rolands now though, but it's good to stuff to know.

Mo, top left of your E60's display, there's a section that says Recorder. Guess what?

Press REC (it'll flash red) then press PLAY/STOP, play for a while, hit STOP... Voilá! You just made a recording. Press PLAY again, it'll play it back.

Hit Disk & Media, Save then Song, give it a name. You just made an SMF! Welcome to the 20th century! (whoops, wrong century ).

Transfer it to your computer the same way you load and backup your styles (you DO backup your memory, don't you?), either USB or via a Card. Email it to me...

What could be simpler? Takes you less time than taking out the Girl Scout (oops again! I meant garbage)

wow,you will have me entering the 21st soon..i guess i will have to tippytoe in. no, I don't load and backup anything. i use the list button just page one for my kbd setups, that's all i ever use..if i lose it i could recreate it in a half hour from memory. and i have the guitar swing on hold, and go to the style buttons when i want the few other styles i use..if i use 8 styles on a gig that's a lot.
your timing is good, I was about to embark on this brave new world in the next two weeks, so watch out for the NEW Mo.
btw, did u get the email with the 2 demo cuts?

Sure did. Going out of town down near you (Sebring, for the 12 Hour Endurance Race this weekend) tomorrow, so I have little time to reply at length, but I'll post you some feedback when I get back, OK?

DonM, didn't mean to ignore you. If you're still following this, would be interested in your take on the Classic Piano w/ cutoff all the way up and attack at minus 2. Btw, what Rolands do you have, and what do you use now instead, and why?
