Hello everyone! I used to post stuff here a long time ago and I have to say it's really good to be back here. I'm not surprised to see that this is still the most active Forum in the whole Synthzone BBS!

My latest piece of gear is the TC Helicon Voicelive 2. I know that many arrangers have the Harmonizer function.....I don't have an arranger keyboard anymore since my Generalmusic SK76 (ahead of its time, during its time) and I think it is a Godsend! The harmonizer works so well and I have used it in a couple of recordings! I don't really have to do the harmony parts anymore....although it would still be good if you want total control of the harmony sound..... Still I was able to add a realistic CHOIR to one of my songs and I didn't have to pay 50 people to come in and record!

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with it as well.

dongggoi,

Good to see you posting again. Congratulations on the Voicelive2--it's an incredible machine. Many of us have recently switched to the TC Helicon Harmony-M, which is more compact and provides excellent results.

Now that I have a high speed connection I would like to hear some of your recordings using the Voicelive2. Can you post a link to them?

Cheers,

Gary

Hi Gary,

I have the Harmony M as well. That's the one for keyboardists right? I actually got that first while I was waiting for the Voicelive 2. It works really well too. I got the VL2 because I wanted to use it in my studio recordings as well and plus it had the choir effect that I thought was cool.

I was going to sell the smaller Harmony M once I got the VL2 but I may keep it for live gigs, since I was thinking of starting to gig again.

I have a website that has links to my original songs. The song called "Back At The Start" has a choir effect on the last chorus before the end of the song. I also have some other harmonies applied to my voice using the VL2.

Another song called "Get To You" has the Harmony M working for me during the harmony parts.

I also used the VL2 for harmonies in the song "Misfit"

My site is http://www.jinxchin.com

and the link to my songs is http://jinxchin.com/wordpress/?page_id=116

Do let me know what you think on my site either by leaving a comment or just posting here again.

Again, I'm glad to be here again!

I'll have a listen tonight when I get back from the second gig.

Thanks for the links,

Gary

Hello;

Correct me if I am wrong, but is the Voice live & Voice live 2 only for guitar?

The vocal harmony -M is strictly for keyboards.

Thanks;
BN

Hi BN,

The Voicelive 2 can recognize chords through MIDI, audio input from a guitar and also audio input through an AUX connection (this means that it can also recognize chords and come up with harmonies from any audio song you throw at it through the AUX connection). Truly amazing!

Hey Spalding!

Thanks for checking my songs out and for your kind words! I'm honored. Do you gig a lot? I am starting out in the gigging world again after a long, long, long break! Don't really know what to expect except the unexpected!

dongggoi,

There is only one word I can use to describe your talent--OUTSTANDING. You have an extremely powerful voice, excellent timing, the use of the vocal processor is superb and the balance between the vocals and accompaniment is perfection. I listened to all four songs twice and loved them both times.

Thanks for sharing them with us,

Gary

So if I follow you the live works 2 should be able to follow the chords from an arranger keyboard?

Thanks;
BN
