Hello,
You see I indeed feel that it has been suspended on an unfair base. I try to run a fan site for a synthesiser. If there would be a blame on me for violating copyright and put full length songs online then I could understand that you have to take measures for all users that have a bit too much files with the extention of *.mp3.
Other than having the full permision from Roland to store sound fragments of theyr gear online: I thought that the first times all my files were suspended was just because of the implementation of my geocities site within my own, not allowing commercial gain for your part (there would be no banner)
Again I was very understandable in this part so I made an entire page on the geocities server and put a banner on it.
Now i'm really not ready to surrender files to heavy duty scripting pagesas JustOn and Netdrive as in my opinion (nd with all the complicated hassle you have to go trough to even get a file public) I want simple availability of files that show snippets of the sound on a synthesiser.
The other alternative of paying $50 every month for as little as 50 mb extra space on my server is too far fetched too. I bought an $200 harddisk and get the space for a life time.
My point is: if there is indeed an feeling of awkwardness comming from geocities, it should be possible for users to be reviewed. What does it matter to geocities anyway, if the page is part of a whole or not? I just feel spyed on. I really think not everyone wants to put entire songs online. I just wish you could reconsider and actually listen to the things I offer to the synthesiser comunity and I don't really think thats dangerous,
Thanks in advance
SV
