AJ sent me a copy of the new OS4.0. It took about 30 minutes to install. It sounded like an entirely new keyboard, but the bad news is it froze up after about 30 minutes. I rebooted it and then it starting smoking, so I pulled the plug, but it burst into flames anyway.
I poured a pitcher of water on it and finally got the fire stopped. It melted the keys a little, but I dried everything out with a hair dryer and plugged it back in, and it started playing again!
I guess you could say it was one HOT new operating system.
I'll try it again in the morning.

Mine is even worse, the keys are gone, all melted. I'm now installing those accordion buttons instead, Ketron told me they could take more heat. They really did a great job with this OS4. the Audya 5 has keys made of stainless steel, no rust after using water.
Happy Easter

My new Audya with OSv5.0 runs Linux, and I have an emulation of the MS running on it right now...

Let me guess. James is demo'ing it on Youtube and Dom is suing Ketron for unauthorized use of copyrighted styles.

Just got my new OS for my PA2XPRO! WOW, what great support!

When I opened the UPS box, a programmer from Korg Italy popped out, installed the new OS and gave me a hot demo.

I'm on my way back to UPS now...to send him back home!

He said he would return with another great OS update soon!

I called Gary to ask a question.

He didn't know the answer.

Roland rep showed up here, they think I'm not making enough noise
and ballyhoo about the G-70 at SZ or other fora.
Because of that, they decided to downgrade my OS from 3.01 to 2.0.
If I still don't make some tousands post about it within the next
12 months, another downgrade to OS 1.0 has to be done.

When I told him I don't care as long as there is light in some of
the buttons when I push the powerbutton, and they turns off when
I repeat the powerbutton trick, he left ..........

Happy Easter everybody!

Mason, I've been waiting for April 1 since your exploits last year.

Gotta admit, if I wasn't "gun shy" as a result of your previous "creative" work, I might have taken the bait (well, MOST of it, until the water and melted keys thing).

An enjoyable, fun post, everyone!

Some guy read an old ad for one of my G-70's listed at $2200 and asked if I'd do $1500. I said yes.

My new Audya is really a very old PSR-2000 and every now and then, I press the wrong key and it automatically dials North Korea for the latest missile launch window... LOL! Don, you rascal, I was feeling so sorry for you and your burned keys. What a ham! Very funny.
