Thanks for this info. Seems like a lot will be implemented with the coming update. We are indeed many who looks forward.
Another way for Ketron to distribute these 1.5 GB, could be to upload it on a free file sharing service such as www.dropbox.com They do in fact support these large file sizes and you wont run the risk of over exhausting your own server. Anyway just a suggestion, Brgds

It does have a true full Sampler (which we have kept locked until OS4.0 in order to better develop the GUI).
Prior to OS4.0, only the multi Sampler works (files are already sampled and simply edited, and/or assigned to keys). With 4.0, you can record your won sounds via LINE IN, MIC INPUT ... etc. as the fill Sampler will now be made available (unlocked).

I thought you'd mentioned 'last question' above
As for the hardware, yes. Remember Audya 4 and 5 come with the 16 Multi-tabs which are not available on AUDYA.
However the new sounds and styles dedicated to OS4.0 will work on current AUDYA products perfectly (for which this OS was initially designed for). AUDYA 4 and 5 will be shipped out with OS4.0 already as standard/initial OS.

The expansion slot on the Sound Board which allows you to upgrade the internal RAM to 256MB would be the only main difference. This Sound Board can also be used in AUDYA.

You can swap it to a 1TB HD, however only 100GB max will be usable ... for now. There are plans to (via software) have it read up to 500GB, but not sure yet about 1TB. No slow down/crashes. I do understand your point about using updated/modern HD but ...

AJ,
just on question. What kind of procedure is planned if want to extend the memory of my Audya, especially if I have an Audya with an "early" soundboard where no memory slot is available? If my Audya is one this, is currently in clarification.

Unfortunately, that arrangement is not in my department so I have no idea how that will be handled ... I know the expansion kit is optional for the newer Audya series units (4&5) as well.
