Hmmm. Just thinking of Ketron and history of dates for releases. Did they mention what year? Not long before winter NAMM, maybe it's ready by then .... Cheers GJ Btw, first 2nd hand Audya I've seen for sale at local "ebay" now, but price still quite too high. Is it worth to pay same price you can buy both T3 and PA2X for only one Audya ??? I doubt it ........ but that's of course if it is'nt stuffed inside with pure gold.

Well in reality it wont matter to me personally since i wont be combining styles, i usually create from scratch and most of the work i do in a DAW and then just conversion, the Ketron Arrangers dont support COPY/PASTE with different Bar lengths on their own but if done thru Software then it does work, what i mean is on any Ketron Machine you cannot have a Style that has Var 1 2 bars and Var 2 4 Bars...it cant be done on the machine but can be done with software...and of course they will probably implemented, its one of the basic features. why would you even consider getting the AUDYA or any other arranger when you have said many times that you do not play live and also said that AUDYA lacked sampler, or perhaps had the most BASIC form of a sampler
wouldn't a workstation be what you use/need as ALL your playing programming is done at home ?
I dont personally play live but i need the machines to create Products for commercial uses. So anyhow, i have to own few synths even without a need to use them Live, i play live once in a while and strictly with Bands. I do a lot of recordings and programming but having only one or 2 workstations or using strictly a DAW i will be limited cuz creating a SoundSet or a StyleSet it still requires the propper machine at hand, it cant be all done somewhere else. I own 14 Keyboards, i had 17 last year, half of them are in closets, for my own personal things and recordings i strictly use DAW and Vintage Analog machines, (ARP2600, TB303 and MS20) are the only ones i have. I've produced and recorded several albums lately and for all of them not almost but completely the whole work was done in a DAW and SoftSynths/Samplers, not even a single Sound used from a hardware Keyboard...i sold 3 of my Keyboards and now massively selling everything except my Vintage, i wanna come down only to a Computer, SoundCard, Preamp, 2 pairs of Speakers and 1 Keyboard in front of me, nothing else, everything else can be substituted using SoftSynths/Samplers and a DAW. The last time i sequencer something was back in 1999 on a Korg IX300 and since then i dont have a clue about any of the Sequencers of the present machines, if you ask me about M3, MOTIF, FANTOM, TRITON (which i owned and used all) i still dont know how their Sequencer actually works, never ever used it. Right now i am creating a lot of GE's and sometimes when doing Patterns i have Problems using M3's Sequencer, i forget cuz i dont use it on a daily basis, it sux.

And it's not due to taxes, because elecronic music instruments can be imported custom/toll free. No Italian WAT added when shipped, but Norwegian WAT added when imported here. Guess that's common practice elsewhere too? So, if it's not Ketron who rise the price for the items shipped to Norway simply because destination is Norway, then it most be the importer/dealer who have big pockets to be filled up with $$$$. There is a new ford Focus coming out this Christmas and when it is released and shown in public you will be able to buy one a week later. What gives guys? People will have forgotten what the 61 note Audya looks like in June, Doh, no they won't Tone it looks like the old Audya, its called progress and it's got the same OS. I hope they have cured the problems on the MB and the SB and then Skude will perhaps buy a 61, thinking he will have better luck next time. But Frank has it got the same hardware, if so Skude keep pumping for your new bits, they are just going through the surface mount picker and flow soldering machine as we speak. If Skude puts his Audya on EBay, the new owner may never use the COUNT IN or the vocalizer and only one speaker, he’ll never know its shot! If he's deaf it will be a bonus, get it on Ebay Skude and stop pestering Ketron, it was only £4200, move on Skude, get a life, go fishing, start talking to the wife again. Hey DonM has gone quiet. I was just thinking when I swapped my T2 for the Audya (Doh)the local dealer said you don’t want a 61 note KB, look at this Audya 76 notes much better can’t live without the extra keys, now the new 61 note Audya much better takes up less room, must have one.

Leezone, I have cut and pasted every bit of SZ crap about the Audya and sent it to the Ketron factory, first they can't understand English, second they don't know how to use Google Translate, and thirdly they don't give a toss. I have never got a reply, if I were Frank or any other dealer, I would just drop them a line saying "I'm out". It won’t happen because people like many string on a bow! I do agree that there are times when a response from them seems to take forever, also the OS4 updates have been taking quite awhile, but as the keyboard stands noww, other than some of the people will real hardware issues. The board works, I don't make as much money selling them as the other companies, but I personally enjoy the styles and sounds that for me are the best for what I use them for. I play tons of latin and italian music, so the ketron is the only way to go for that certain sound. I have many times offered Ketron my services as a liaison between the factory, tech, customers. But I have gotten no answers. So I can only do what I can for now, too bad because i really enjoy the product ------------------ www.AudioworksCT.com

Frank, That appears to be the general consensus of opinion about Ketron they are not interested in what anyone thinks or says, about the product or themselves they are in fact way above us. There is no outside Italy parallel that I have ever seen like Ketron, any company in the UK that behaved like Ketron would be out of business, Ketron are certainly not concerned about Frank, Franks problems or Franks customers problems, if they were then there would be no problems.

Who, in their right mind, is going to shell out for an Audya for a pro gig, knowing that if it fails for any reason, you are screwed! No-one can afford a backup Audya, no-one but a tiny, tiny fraction of players lives anywhere NEAR a dealer, and no dealer is going to loan out a new Audya to cover a working musician when they have no idea how many weeks or months it is going to take Ketron to reply to the issue and send replacement parts... especially on the pitiful margin they make on it.
Musically, it MIGHT be the best arranger out there. But there's a LOT more to what you want from an arranger than just the music. Reliability, ease of repair, availability of replacement, nearness of dealers, responsiveness of communication with the tech support and repair depts., many of these things are JUST as important as sound to a WORKING player...

if LIONSTRACS arranger & styles sounded as good as Ketrons i'd buy one RIGHT NOW, i mean it's way cheaper than AUDYA, and it's hardware is WAY, WAY better
i don't have time to create the styles, etc,
this keyboard looks promising, but i'm afraid OTB it will not give me what i need
if, if, if, if there were kick ass styles, real drums, real audio guitars , this keyboard would be THE ultimate arranger/worksation,
maybe Ketron should buy LIONSTRACS or vice-versa !!!
combine the best of both worlds and everyone will be happy !!!

You know Diki we don't always see eye to eye but on this occasion there is not one word of this that I could take offense at or question, and if Leezone would read it all carefully he would keep what he has got! Read all Skude's mail and then make your decision buy or not to buy the Audya, his support is pitiful and pathetic and he still has not got a working KB after one year, I have only gone through 1/10th of what Skude has and fortunately my Audya is OK now. It is my 3rd Audya. Btw July for the new sounds and styles, I still have reservations that it will be sometime after, I think they want to release the new products with the new sounds and styles before they let Audya owners have them. I have also come to the conclusion that Ketron must be a cash rich company, the new products were demonstrated nearly 8 weeks ago and not one on sale yet. Tony
