Summer NAMM is almost here, and, unfortunately, both Chas and Rory have prior commitments. Anyone else going? Be a ball to visit. For anyone in the area, I've got one extra ticket (Rory's). We (my son, Logan and I) go down Friday, walk the show from Noon until 5:00PM, usually have dinner and then go see Tony Monaco when he has a local gig, go back on the floor in the AM to visit our friends in the Burris Amp/Q-Lighting booth (our hosts), then leave in time to get back for a 6:00 PM gig in Lexington.

Hope others are heading that way. If you are, please let me know!

Tom, It's June 18-20. The show opens late the morning of the 18th. We can get in early, with our badges, but we leave home at 8:00 AM and arrive about 11:00, just in time for the opening.

I'm still bummed about that. Last summer it was in July, and my July is pretty much wide open, so I never gave it a second thought until I was on the phone with someone a few nights ago and the topic of Namm came up. That's when I learned it was in mid June. What a disappointment. My visit with Russ last week was too short, and plus Namm is just a lot of fun for me. Oh well, hope someone gets some use out of my badge; don't make my name a cuss word in Nashville. LOL.

I know Yamaha must have their new Motif ready by now

Maybe they'll introduce it at summer NAMM.

Like you know that Roland must have their new TOTL arranger ready, too?!

I think, with the world economy the way it is, you are all going to be quite disappointed in how little new product is out there at NAMM. OTOH, I doubt whether anyone has yet exhausted the possibilities of the MoXS, so it's not exactly like anyone really NEEDS a new Motif model yet, is it..?

i think next up for Ketron is the AUDYA 6,
replacing the existing AUDYA with much more memory, loops , sounds, etc

Oh, thank God! I honestly thought you might become satisfied and actually GET one, Lee!

But now you'll have endless months to speculate about all the features that the Audya6 won't have (and complain bitterly about them) so you can wait for the Audya7

Who cares, as long as you can speculate about the shortcomings of an arranger that isn't even on the drawing board?

Every arranger out there is superseded by a better one. Which is superseded by a better one. And so on ad infinitum. Sooner or later you are going to HAVE to 'settle' for what's out now, or you will end up playing a ten year old relic...

Hold on a minute! That's MY goal...

you think it's not on the drawing board?

well, i always pushed for AUDYA module,
and since it did come out, it must have been pn the drawing board....

so AUDYA 6...stay tuned.....

one million three hundred thousand, one million two hundred...
