Just a quick thought: Most folks talking football in this thread seem to be from outside of the U.S., even though a healthy number of SZ members are Americans. Come on, you chaps, you don't have a half bad team, you know.

You can break away from the NBA, AL, NL, and NHL for a few weeks, can't you?

Right you are, Eddie. That's Walcott and Beckham out now - two bona-fide wingers gone.

...that's exactly the reason why I favour Walcott.
He is a natural successor to David Beckham who taught the world of football how to "bend it" and it has been the source of many spectacular goals ever since.
In my own playing days (many years ago!) I was a natural right winger .
The thrill of supplying the passes from the wing were my greatest pleasure.

will the AUDYA 4/5 be available before the end of the World Cup 2010?

Most Americans are uncomfortable with any programming that MAKES them not see any commercials for at least 45 minutes! If they get removed from the tit of commercialism for too long, they might have to look around and see what a mess it has made of things...

Imagine not being told what to eat, what to wear, what to drink, what to think...

The horror! The horror...!

LOL, Diki! I've heard that theory before, something about needing games that stop the clock every few minutes so that people can slope off the fridge for a beer, etc.

And I said to myself, now there's a man who must have loved Stanley Matthews, the finest of the lot.

.....and so much so that he was given a knighthood when knighthoods were not given lightly (like for riding a bike around a track!) and our Stanley became SIR Stanley Matthews.
