Not hard at all, Fran. It's just the classic (SZ) case of people just ignoring what you asked for, even after it's been re-explained, reiterated, repeated, and re-stated, and just posting what they WANT to post . Either they're 1. just proud of their gear and want people to know what they have; 2. don't own what you actually asked for but want to be represented anyway; 3. don't agree with your basic premise that only most current TOTL models should be included and decided to overrule you; 4. only read the title but not the actual post; 5. saw that it was from Fran and decided to send it 'south' . In any case, the best arranger? Your brain (plus a good sound set and a little training). Hmmmm, wonder where that ranks?

I agree Chas, although, having said that, there are quite a few professional players using mid-range PSR just as successfully as Tyros...and several using E-60 instead of the G-70...and PA-800/500 instead of PA2XPro.

These days, one does not need a TOTL arranger to perform, a marked difference from only a few years ago, when only the top-range models had the goods necessary for a pro performance.

But, it is Fran's thread, and it's best to conform to the standards he feels are important (not necessarily everyone's) and I'm sure there is a reason why he set it up this way.

I think that you wait of counting is biased.

If you count G70-E80 as same (because price),,,,,why not

PA2x and PA1x?

Why not Tyros 3 and Tyros2?

The E80 and G70 were not replacement models for each other..your other examples were direct replacement models...
