I'm trying to edit track 8 on this tune. I go into seq/micro at the correct measure, yet there is no track info! It's obviously there because it plays back, but in micro mode, the system indicates "data not found"! What am I missing here? I want to erase something, but I can't. I have the right track & instrument selected, so I don't know what's happened here.

I'm pretty much a newbie with the XP-60, but:

Are you sure you're not looking at the rhythm track or something like that? That's happened to me before. Also, can you micro-view the other tracks OK?

I have an XP60. The 16 luminous buttons that control the sequencer play back is related to the track, not the channels. You may have mistakenly recorded Part 6 onto another track by accident. Microview all of the other tracks and see if another channels data exists anywhere on it.

There is also a filter that can be set to choose what types of MIDI-events that should be displayed in the microscope. Check the menu "View" in micro-mode.

The most likely reason for this, is that the data is recorded to the wrong track. It can still be recorded with the right channel, so that it plays with the correct sound. This is a mistake that is sometimes hard to detect. I've done it myself a couple of times.. :-)

Well, I checked everything you guys mentioned, but no cigar. I basically redid the song (easy enough because it was pretty much all patterns), and have had no problems. I wonder if there could have been some error saving it to the floppy, perhaps all the data didn't save?
