I guess I'm getting really old, but, if I had to replace my favorite bike right now-a Suzuki Savage-650 cc-352 lbs-27" seat height-single cyl-I'd get a Boulevard 40-the same bike, with only minor cosmetic changes-hasn't changed much in over 25 years.
It backfires, is rough as hell, has no gas gauge or trip meter-only goes 100 miles on a tank, but, man, is it neat on the curves and country roads. Terrible on the Interstate, but I don't plan to do that much long distance riding again.
My second choice would be a 750 cc Shadow. Is that what this one is? What year? How many miles?
Last Question: I'm little Russ, only 64 1/4 years old. Would you PLEASE adopt me?
(Hey, dad can I use the Shadow and the Nord tonite....PLEASE, PLEASE)?
Russ (gotta love 'em biker chicks) Lay
(Actually, my very favorite bike is a 56 three wheel Harley Knuckle buster, but that thing only runs when it wants to. I've owned it since I bought it from the Air Force in 1962. Rode it back from Victorville, California with an upright bass tied to the back in my young, dumb and horny days).
