Rikki, I think you should just give up and switch to a software based arranger system.

Hi Frank,
sorry , didn't spot your post, I haven't been around much, I've been taking a bit of a break away from my keyboards.

Strangely enough I've been thinking about trying to put all my old soundfont software etc back in my pc and giving it another go.
Just need to try and get some of my old enthusiasm back haahaa

Nice to hear from you again.

best wishes
rikki

Rikki, Just a thought I have found that too much technology as good as it may be took me away from playing my keyboard and eventually to boredom. This is not for all people, some love the pushing and dragging of a computer or keyboard.

I first came to a keyboard because of my love of music. Midi files, new keyboards, gathering more and more styles and recording to MP3 format, Ect.. have put a dent in this love I have for music. I have gone back to 20% technology and 80% playing and I am being to smile again.

John C, couldn't have said it better. After 30 years of synths, I haven't been happier in years since I got my Nord C1 and switched primarily to organ. I haven't played 'just organ' since the 80's and I also haven't been this enthusiastic since the 80's. I've still got plenty of 'synths' but when I go down to my studio, I usually head straight for the organ; nor do they follow me to any gigs. When you're 'just playing', life is good .

i have been using my kn6000 for 8 or 9 years along with my wersi pegasus, never had a problem with the kn6000 and i love how easy it is to use.
i would love to see a kn8000 as i think the kn6000, kn6500 and the kn7000 were great keyboards for there time.

Hey Chas, nicely put When I am playing my instrument and I down deep with it I experience something very special that money can not buy. Music and not the instrument has carried me through a divorce, a passing of a wife and many other ugly areas of my life. I can remember feeling miserable, I was depressed, my world was a mess. Then the lights went on the curtains opened I turned to the audience and began to play. I had one fantastic 4 hours, when it ended and the music stopped I returned to who I was. And so the power of music. Life is sooooo good!

Thanks Guys,
i have this terrible habit of getting so involved with the technology I end up not playing at all. Only time I play a song is to see if a style I'm working on, will actually work with it.
Only exception was when we had the monthly Synthzone Ejams, they were fun, they actually had me practicing haahaa.

I've temporarily gone back to my other hobby, making teddy bears ( actually currently I'm creating stuffed rabbits,)
they're taking over my music room. haahaa.
I better get back to my keyboards or we might have to extend the house haahaa.

Congratulations John, it appears you managed to get yourself a kn7000?? that's great.

best wishes

I'm the exact opposite. Playing is much more fun.
