Has anyone discovered a way to get notation (dots) converted to a format, i.e. txt, so that the dots can be read on a keyboard/module screen that only reads text files?
Ciao,

Hi Jerry.
No, there's no such conversion tool available.

Even if there were, you would need a special font to work with it and TXT files on the keyboard, but again, TXT files don't retain font information, nor can you load any kind of special font into your keyboard.

So...nope. Can't be done.

Regards
James

Thanks James. I have a gig this weekend that calls for me to accompany an operatic singer ... stuff that is not in my repertoire, in keys that I can avoid as a single act. I'll just mash chords for the guy. Thanks again.
Ciao,
Jerry

Jerry,

The only option I know of is to use tab information--that can be in .txt format.

Good Luck,

Gary
