WOW ... and what a GREAT time it was ... and the best was that the grandkids could stop thanking us ... not that we needed it - the perpetual smiles on their faces was enough ...
The weather was great - just some overcast for a while the day of departure from NYC, two evening showers while on the ship, and a brief shower on the next to last day ...
Some good talent on board ...
Matt Baker the cruise director is quite talented - sing, dance, comedy and quite a harmonica player ... Dave Heenan - really funny comedian - ...
I am embarrassed to say that as much as I liked the musicians on board, I've got very little info about them ...
"Next Stage" - a young band from the Philippines played all types of covers - Pop, Hard Rock, Country - and played them all REALLY well ...
Fire and Ice - a female/male duo ... She sang (and danced) through every song with high energy, while he did some harmonies, played some kb and kept the backing tracks going ... she did a GREAT Tina Turner revue ...
Piano players in the lounge - one male, one female - he did a Sinatra impersonation with the big stage band - band was GREAT, he was good ... He did a really nice job in the lounge, playing and singing - mostly standards ...
Reggae band at the pool was VERY good ... interestingly, alternated with a DJ !!! ...
The stage band which was very good did not get enough playing time in my opinion ... One night they had a 7 piece combo playing jazz standards in the Atrium area ... they were really good ...
Bermuda IS BEAUTIFUL ...
All in all a GREAT trip on a great ship with a WONDERFUL cast and crew ...
Can't wait to go again ...
