Maybe this will mean that Lionstracs will be the leader in sales and production of the open technology keyboards...

Or is this the begining of the end for all open KB. The market is far too small, it's a good idea but will it take off, I think wrong time, wrong place. I think we need to stand back and watch and not jump in like I did with Audya. I think it's all going nowhere! Just my 10 pence !!!

I think this means that companies need to focus on software and software/configurations,instead of trying to sell overpriced low-end hardware!

+1

This is why I like Lionstracs so much. The system does have the integrated software for controlling everything in sight. So for the most part when you have everything setup, you don't even have to see or deal with the PC interface.

It's a very integrated and streamlined systems.

Technically that does only leave Lionstracs selling true open keyboards, but you also still have SM Pro Audio, Muse Research selling VSTi HOST devices. Guess you can also count Wersi in there too.

124...thanks for posting this. I've been admiring their keyboards for awhile now. They really are "sexy-looking" machines. But you saved me $5k that I probably wouldn't have spent anyway! Back to looking forward to the the Audya 5.

There's a Roland D-50 attached to a bunch of other modules and things..

I would not consider myself keyboard player, a keyboard driver does have a nice ring(mod) to it..
I've also been know to hit things..

When forced out of the cave, I sometimes tweak & twiddle with some live sound systems & lighting.
