You don't have to wait Lee, just buy the module from Norway.
It's really low priced now, only N.Kr. 38.900,-.
That's US$ 6236, not much eh?

Cheers

I just noticed AJ's post and Frank's reply regarding who has what to sell and I felt like I needed to chime in here......

AJ is a friend of mine. In fact, I got him his interview several years ago with Lou and Aldo at Bell/Ketron in New York before CMC bought them a few years ago. When Lou brought AJ out for his first NAMM show as a demonstrator I praised his knowledge of Ketron products to the owners of Ketron, Italy.
Everytime I see AJ advertise he has Ketron products for sale it makes me very unhappy.
I believe it is a conflict of interest to be working for the company who's products you advertise to sell. Distributors just don't allow this. They clearly have rules forbidding employees to get involved in sales.

It should be quite understandable for those of you in business and even those of you not to see the conflict here.

Perhaps AJ works in a music store that sells Ketrons. But I still see a conflict of interest.

George,

I am a bit confused, does the shop AJ works for sell Ketron or is AJ selling the KB for himself.

AJ I could not understand what George was getting at , if you work in a music shop in the UK and you demo KBs after you have finished your demo if you and the KB is good some one might buy one from you, is that what you do or do you fix wires and soundcards in them. If George is syaing you should not sell KB on SZ then does that not go for everybody... still confused, never mind forget it.

Tony, George knows what he is talking about. George is/was Ketron Dealer.
There is a difference between a Dealer, Distributor, Salesman and someone
who works for the Develloper...now, all of the above conflict with everything.
George as a Dealer (including all of the dealers) is/are the SOLE LEGAL sellers,
not AJ, not KETRON USA, not you, not me, they are the authorized Dealers and
they pay the fees for it and thats how bussines goes. Now, if i start selling
Audyas cuz AJ is my friend and you also start selling cuz someone else is your
friend and then AJ will start selling cuz he works for Ketron...what happened?
I dont even think Ketron Italy can sell them directly to end consumer, it is
ilegal, it goes against any bussines rules.

Working in a music shop and selling keyboards is fine. AJ has done this in the past and has his own customer base. I totally understand that.
My complaint, if I read his posts correctly is that he states that he has his products for sale. If he is selling from the store he works at then fine, but if somehow he is buying product and selling it then I have a problem because as Nedim says there is an agreement between and dealer and the distributor that no one working for the company shall sell products direct to the public.
Perhaps he meant that it is the store he works for that is selling these Ketron products but it didn't look like it to me and after reading Frank's comment that maybe he should be buying direct from AJ because AJ has stock and CMC doesn't.
Here is what AJ said in two posts:

"I have about 3 AUDYA 5 left ... then I'm out.Contact me at axa130@hotmail.com if interested ... they are in DE.
Thanks,
AJ"

"AUDYA 4s and 5s arrived the US Wed. All AUDYA 4 Modules are already sold out!! A limited number of AUDYA 5s are left (I'll be out after these last 2).
Next shipment in about 15 days or less...
Thanks,
AJ"

I just thought it sounded to me that AJ was selling direct and not through a store he works at.

George,

That's what I thought you meant, and I agree with you that it is wrong, it's like me going to the UK dealer and buying 10 Audyas at a time, he would love it, but the little shop a mile form me who has been in business selling Ketron for 15 years will be none too happy, perhaps AJ will be kind enough to tell you whats he is doing.

That's a problem I've been having for years with the whole Ketron deal....direct sales to customers bypassing established distribution. That's an ethics violation that would result in dismissal in any industry I know, and I'm in the business of channel management and distributor/dealer relations. Ted and his company know about the situation, as do some distributors and customers. In one instance, I was asked specifically not to mention the "deal" to authorized distributors.

Great products (after customers pay thru the nose and "beta test" them for future refinements)...really questionable business ethics.

Last time this came up, those involved suddenly went silent, probably hoping that it would blow away.

That's a real shame...inexcusable behavior!

Russ
