Hi Frank,
hopefully. haahaa
I've got to try & remember how it all worked, & hopefully most of my software will work in Win7.
I've managed to load all my soundfont editing & style editing software into the old dell, so that's a start.

As long as I can get OMB or maybe even Livestyler working ok in the new one, plus I'm looking at a program called SampleLord for loading my soundfonts, it'll be a start for me.
Eventually I hope to get something better for melody voices, but meantime , my Korg will be ok for that.

All going well, I'll just build it up slowly.
Even if I don't advance far beyond he soundfonts, safer getting something that should handle better quality softsynths rather than getting an inferior laptop that probably won't, at least the capability is there, when I'm ready.
Lucky hubby was there, I probably would have chosen inferior, rather than spend the additional money, & probably would have kicked myself down the track. haahaa.

best wishes
Rikki

Once again I might have at least one friend!!!

Hi All
Don’t forget Komplete 7 http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/producer/komplete-7/ and Komplete 7 Elements http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/producer/komplete-7-elements/ is out September the 1st, which should provide all the sounds you need. (Remember Kontakt 4 (The full version) can also read other formats as well)

Bill

What was the PS3 game Rikki? Have you been to Playstation Home recently and seen the Midway Carnival I worked on that is there?

I thought you might have sold the Korg, hadn't heard from you on the forum for quite a while.
Are you still using a PSR s??
or have you swapped over to a T3.

Rikki I moved to the s910 and am very happy with it. The new MFD feature that mimics the Korg Songbook feature is one of the many things that sold me on the s910. I'm chomping at the bit for what has just been released and what's going to be released in the near future. I never did spend the $$ from the sale of the Korg

Hi Nigel,
Call of Juarez, some sort of shoot em up.
It kept getting stuck in a particular spot.
Haven't really gotten involved with the playstation store.
I stupidly signed up for a wireless type internet, a couple of years ago. The portability was great, in that I could take it nearly anywhere, but the speed was woeful.
Fortunately the contract ended a week ago, and whilst on a shopping trip about a month ago, hubby in one of his generous moods, signed up to a full foxtel/phone package, which also included adsl 2 internet.
In short it's at least 10 times faster than what I had, so, I may well be able to visit the PS3 store now. Before it just wasn't worthwhile. Too slow, and my measley 1 gig of data per month wouldn't have gone very far.

I'll check out the Midway Carnival.
Thank you

best wishes
Rikki
