I'm excited to a point ...not about the Tyros 4, ......but the release a short time afterwards if history repeats itself of the
New S-Series units !.........my second & third excitements respectivly would be Roland & Korg's new offerings......
we'll see what turns up.

Dnj,

the G-70 is great
the AUDYA is even greater

AUDYA has way better Latin styles, better drums, better audio guitar/bass loops, etc.
it sounds like the REAL DEAL

Although a bit heavy...the G70 is a Killer KB in the right hands & yes it sounds REAL if you know what your doing all the tools are there...Your excitement about the Audya is fine ...but like religion, please don't try to push on others, it can have anything "you think" it has but the "player" is what makes the difference every time, not the KB...it can't play itself. I hope to hear some songs once you get it also.

I am...I won't be upgrading he XS8 to the XF8 but I am sure the T4 will be a worthy upgrade. (as long as it doesn't have two keyboards and pedals.....)

I always have a real interest in any new arranger. Not sure how much the T4 can be improved over the T3? I would expect the new MFD system to be in the T4.

I was just told by a good friend of mine that if I'm not prepared to buy the Audya 5, don't even come demo it!!

I'm with Donny to a point I've been very happy with my S910 but if the T 4 has some earth shattering features maybe there's be one in my future or maybe an Audya5 or maybe...................never mind. I'll probably just stick with the S910 but it's always fun hearing and auditioning new boards.

I finally got to play a T3- a very good keyboardist friend of mine in Mexico is playing one and he sounds great on it. But I feel it isn't a huge upgrade from a T2. personally I'd like to see some great latin styles and more overall realistic styles( like the audya)

My dream arranger keyboard would have the Audya styles and Yamaha lead voices (except the lame yamaha acoustic piano sounds) I could never understand why the piano sounds on all Yamaha arrangers are so bad.

So if the T4 has great sounding new styles nice pianos sounds, and a good vocal harmony function I'd maybe be interested

Coincidentally, I spoke to someone at Roland last week. I was told that Roland is pretty much out of the industrial strength arranger market. That the G70 would be the last TOTL keyboard and that the GW8 and the Prelude would now be their flagship models. Also...they said to check the Roland site after Sept 1, as they will be announcing a new line of products. Who knows, maybe a new arranger IS in the mix?

Does anyone know if there is a successor to the PA2xPro in the works?

Lucky

Little birdies been whispering all KINDS of things about Roland to some of you for the past four YEARS or more... Absolutely NONE of it has come true in any way...

At what point do you STOP listening to little birds?

Quote from one of the keyboard magazines

On September 1st 2010 Roland will launch a new and innovative line-up of musical products via a unique web exhibition called Roland CONNECT 2010 at www.rolandconnect.com
The virtual event will debut over 10 new products covering a wide range of musical genres and product categories, from professional stage instruments to desktop home-studio gear.
The site will be officially opened to the public on September 1st 2010, simply pop www.rolandconnect.com into your internet web browsers address bar & enjoy this virtual exhibition.

It’s also interesting to note that various Yamaha forums and sites, have also said that Yamaha will be releasing sneak peeks of the new TOTL keyboard, on September 1st 2010.
NOTE: unlike the Roland post above, the only official Yamaha confirmation is that a new TOTL keyboard will be showcased at Pakefield (1 Day only)

Rumours that other new instruments will be launched at Pakefield also abound

I hope that Yamaha puts more under the T4 hood than the blue lights! Maybe the release will be a shocker...I'm kinda hoping T4 will include some new features.

Kinda funny how they keep the details "mum" until the reveal. At least for T3 they put out the puzzle pieces.

Meantime I still love my T2 and S910!

The difference between T1 and T2 was mainly "technical" (S. Articulation voice). The difference between T2 and T3 was more in the "emotion" area. Expect Tyros 4 to be a major upgrade (sounds, particularly guitars and choirs, new drums, styles...).
I'm very confident this time

C'mon guys! Anybody remember the huge yawn-fest for the LAST set of CONNECT products?

You honestly think these will be any different..?

Karaoke players and non-player features. Is that what you want?

That's not a T4...it's a D-Deck...a Yamaha organ not sold in USA.

Hard to believe..... the starter of a topic already OFFtopic in his first message ??

Well let me put it ON: http://www.sud-claviers.com/boutique/tyros4/product_info.php/products_id/1681

Have a look at the 2nd movie and you'll notice the extra keys with built-in speakers I guess?

Yeah... an extra dumb lower manual with some pretty dodgy looking speakers in it. That was REALLY high on the list of things that Tyros owners were hoping for, wasn't it..?
