Clavinovas = no aftertouch...how do you get really great orchertral playing without aftertouch? How do you bring the timbre up on a French Horn, violin etc. solo's without aftertouch (and keep you L. Hand doing it's thing.
I was told by Yamaha Clavinova's are for piano players...hence no aftertouch. Well, if it's for piano players why put all the great orchetral voices on then? T3 voices but no aftertouch. Save $10.00 instead of advancing the instruments total capabilities...

Leeboy, I don't know of any 88 note arranger with aftertouch...Roland's KR-series don't(or didn't, in case they aren't still being made) have it, and Korg's PA-588 doesn't either.

Apparently, the "experts" say that aftertouch "interferes with the feel of an 88 note graded hammer action", but, I'm not an expert, so I really can't say that it is true.

I suspect an 88 note hammer action with aftertouch might be a tad more than $10.00 more to make than one without, but hey, remember, I'm no expert.

So, why don't Korg and Roland implement aftertouch on their 88 note arrangers?

Just about every 88 wood WS has got aftertouch... no complaints from players of THOSE that it interferes with the touch..!

Can you tell us, or explain why, Roland, Yamaha and Korg do not use aftertouch on their 88 note weighted graded hammer action arrangers?

Perhaps there is a significant cost difference?

They all seem to be using the actions from their digital pianos.
