Hi all.
Got a track to share that you might like to listen to. The song was originally written by Evanescence and it's called My Immortal. This is our take on it.

This is the first song my wife and I have ever recorded together that did not have anything to do with working for clients. We did this for ourselves. She laid the vocals down in 4 takes so there's a little work to be done later on that after we listen to the song a few times and mark out what we want to record again.

As for me, I'm playing the KORG OASYS here. Every single note was sequenced directly on the OASYS Sequencer. No external samples or PC used. I didn't use my Mediastation because I didn't want to have my wife seeing me take this too serious and sequencing for days on end just so we could have a few hours together in the Studio. It was meant to be fun and a way for us to just spend time together doing something we both love very much.

That said, if you listen on headphones you will catch a lot of tiny little detail I went after when sequencing...he..he.. Don't tell the wife.

Regards
James.

your wife has a lovely voice. reminds me a bit of Karen Carpenter. That is a compliment by the way.

James,

Your wife has a very good voice, but unfortunately I couldn't hear much of it because the keyboard was overpowering her vocals. Bring the vocals more up front when you get around to doing a final edit--I would really like to hear the end product.

Thanks,

Gary

I have to agree with Gary about the vocals needing to be out front more ...
But it's nice that you posted this ...
Thank you,
t.

Yep, vocals are buried. Sounds lovely except can't hear her.
