Folks,
Here are some demos for you for the EXP units:-

If you have dificulties with above link (esp. those in Europe) try these ...
EXP-SOUND DEMO:-
http://rapidshare.de/files/6153326/EXP-SoundDemo.zip.html EXP-STYLE DEMO:-
http://rapidshare.de/files/6153060/EXP-STYLES-DEMO.zip.html Great styles that have been tuned/balanced to suit the music they represent ...
http://rapidshare.de/files/6172648/HotStyles.zip.html As you play these, please take note of the following.
1/ I am not a guitarist so in many cases, I could have hit the 'wrong' notes, but I just wanted to give you an idea of how the units sound. Sounds are from both X1EXP and SD1EXP keyboards (with the EXP package, the new sounds are the same on either board). With the pianos and Electric pianos, I didn't use a sustain pedal ... again just wanted to give you sound examples not performance capabilities.
2/ Demo is of the NEW voices only (not the improved ROM voices). Just to give you an idea of how good the unit eventually sounds once the EXP is loaded.
3/ Some 'mistakes' you hear are deliberate. I wanted to let you know of the sounds (not my playing skills) and besides - have you ever listened to a demo and wondered if it was truely played on the keyboard you're about to purchase or via external software or??? I wanted to erase this feeling from your mind ... ok, the truth is I am an ok player (a joke).
4/ Remember these are MP3s. If you want the WAVE, contact me directly for these sound way better than the MP3s... so you can only imagine what your instrument will sound like.
5/ When listening, pay attention to 'noise' that is captured with the instrument. This noise also varies depending on how fast/hard you press the key(s), aftertouch and how long you sustain the notes. All these combined give you some of the riches sounds your X-series, SD1-series or XD-series could ever produce. Accordion and Midi guitarist will have to be capeable of transmitting velocity to gain from such effects.
6/ For those in Europe, Africa and out of North America in general... you can send me ONLY the Hard Disk and the disk controller circuit board (board connected directly above the HD). I will make hardware modification, load in new software files (which you must initially install upon receipt) and get unit shipped back to you 4 days from receipt. By regular air mail, it takes about 1 week. If you have an X1/X4 and no Hard Drive, send the disk controller circuit board only. You'll have to pay extra for the HD that will be returned with your unit [better than shipping the whole keyboard].
7/ Have some fun and get the EXP. It's the greatest EXPANSION yet to be added to the X, SD1 and XD-series keyboards and it's available for ALL now!!. You may also purchase a new unit with EXP already installed (email for prices).
Thanks,
AJ
