Too much medication or too little?
The quality of this forum has seriously degraded since this whole "I want/wish brand X to build a keyboard that will suit my needs" vs "I am here to tell you that's not happening"
Let me give you a small theatrical script of last month's majority of threads:
[Diki, TTG and Ian, enter stage left, talking in raised voices]
Diki: We want this and this and this. Ian: No TTG: Why not? Ian: Because Diki: Because what? Ian: Because I was told they won't. TTG: Why wouldn't they? [Fran enters stage right] Fran: Roland Ian: Because Diki: But we would like it. Ian: Errm, yes, I wouldn't say no myself, depending on the circumstances. Diki: Why not then? Ian: I told you, I can't Fran: Roland TTG: Why can't you? Others do it. Ian: I am not at liberty to say TTG: Just try at least Ian: I can't Fran: Roland [Donny enters stage right, walking in a playful gait] Donny:1,2, cha cha cha [Donny exits stage right, while Diki and TTG wave their fists at him] Fran: Roland Ian: It won't happen Diki & TTG [together] : I don't believe you/We don't believe you. [Both turn to the audience] Both: DO YOU BELIEVE HIM [Disconnected replies from the audience]: No/yes/kill them both/Down with Ian/Roland rules/Yamaha is the cat's pajamas/Korg/Ketron/Audyaaaaaa/Casio, etc Fran: Roland Ian: You heard them Both: You heard them too Ian: What else can I do? Fran: Roland TTG: Do as we asked Diki: Do as they say [points to the audience] Ian: They won't. But I maybe would if I could Fran: Roland [All exit left and right, looking frustrated]
Now go back to the first line and repeat ad nauseum
Is that supposed to be a forum?

No more useless keystrokes than the majority of them here... The thing is, if you read this forum carefully, there are just SO MANY oblique references to wanting a 76 Yamaha, from many, many different members. Yes, sometimes they only refer to it the once, or just in passing, but if you read carefully, you'll find these players... I just refuse to let them get ignored so dismissively by members here that, as they already HAVE Yamaha producing what they truly want, honestly have absolutely no stake in the issue whatsoever...

True. A good example of wasted keystrokes is the 76 vs 61 debate...the minority group, wanting the former, constantly posting in great length, but very little depth. The answer remains at but two keystrokes: NO. No wasted keystrokes there. Ian

Strictly your opinion, and not indicative of the impressions held by the people who buy/use them. The DGX and NP piano based arrangers are excellent instruments, and compete incredibly well in their intended market, in which their main, and probably only, competitor is Casio. Putting down a product simply because it does not suit your needs, does not diminish it's value, for many people enjoy these instruments immensely...this is a very profitable market for both Yamaha and Casio.
