As far as what Yamaha is missing, your best bet is to contact someone in Yamaha's marketing division, and ask them.
Originally posted by ianmcnll: Yes, it would be a good idea to speculate here on SZ, but additional contacting of Yamaha's marketing division sure wouldn't hurt either. Ian
I used to do that about 7yrs ago..yamaha kinda fickle like that(still got all my old emails to prove it too,all i wanted more custom voice banks from the paltry 32 offered. I was doing this at the begining when OS releasements were still ongoing) I was told for about 10G,they may consider doing it personally for me!!whatta bargain!)

Anyone that thinks that contacting a corporation the size of Yamaha as a single writer is going to achieve anything is optimistic in the extreme... (but I did it anyway!)
Places like this are the only areas where a collective can voice their desires, and a collective is the only thing a corporation is interested in. Marginally...
The main thing is, I simply wish that those who have absolutely no stake in the discussion simply stay out of it. If Yamaha already meet YOUR needs, why try to shoot down someone asking for what THEY want? Spite? Sadism..? Bored....?

I hope Yamaha makes a 76 note PSR-S-Series very soon.
You're not getting any younger, and that old dinosaur G-70 isn't going to get any lighter.
Yamaha marketing people are probably checking in on SZ and getting a count of those who voiced the desire to buy one.
