Hi Dan sorry for the delay .Well the modem I use is a DSL hi speed with a connection like a big telephone cable and my interface cable was sold to me by a ketron specialist .It's a cable with a small round plug that fits in the keyboard and the other end plugs in a serial port of the computer. The problem is I can't find the right speed for bauds selection .I tried all the speeds they showed but none will do .The keyboard responds by showing the famous phrase X1 TO PC CONNECT ...AND THAT'S ALL I GET! I thought that it was a bug in the program .Everybody I talked with none have that problem . Is there another place in the keyboard where I can configure the connection.Like true port or something.Or is it in the PC ? I really don't know what to do anymore! I'm .....blocked! In the PC ,I got more speeds to work with but I'm affraid that something turns wrong and I can't afford to lose what I've done yet(it's backed up anyway) since I don't have much time to re-load evrything and start over again.I called the Ketron servicing office where I live but they don't have the time to check it .I wrote to a guy in Ketron but he doesn't seem to know the solution either. Bugging bugging !!! My PC is working top shape with everything else.No problem whatsoever! What more can I do? Anyway thank you for trying to help me .If we can find a solution maybe it will help others too. Thank you Dan! I won't give up!

I have X4 module, and I connect it with my laptop. I have purchased original cable from the store. If you want, i can send you pin connections.
However, my connection works fine since first time I connect. Maybe because on my COM port nothing was installed before. Maybe you have to reinstall your PC, reserve COM1 for Ketron, then install DSL modem on COM2.

About the speed of a serial communication, you must have the 2 devices connected using the same speed for comunicate. You can select it on the computer, but not in the keyboard.
In fact, the keyboard adapt it speed to the speed you choosed in the computer.

You have to test on another computer. If it doesn't work, ask to your ketron deeler to test this cable with anoter keyboard...

Hi guys ! Tried to Install on another computer.Didn't work either. The only solution left is to reconfigure the PC and reserve comm 1 or 2 for the program. I wonder if I can do it without reinstalling everything. Any answers Please?

tell to your dealer (or a friend) to test your cable in his KETRON keyboard.

Try setting com port to 2, and restart the PC and keyboard after the cable is connected. I have got it to work on VEGA. On the VEGA, you have to go to the MIDI menu and set the computer to PC or MAC. Is there such a menu on SD1?
