It doesn't have to say Roland on the keyboard..or Casio, Yamaha, Korg, Ketron..even Magnus..
Personally , if a keyboard does most of what I want..the company is secondary..
What I want is 76 , playable keys..
I want after touch..
A sequencer that can handle SMF's the way they should sound..
Edit functions that work in real time ..easily..
Expandable sound (Rom)..
Drawbar organ..
Great Bread and butter sounds..
A scat sound close to what I now use..
Style morphing in real time..
A chord sequencer..
A great harmonizer and great mic inputs..
A MP3/wave player that works great..
Monitor (video) output.
A media player that will play CDG files too..
A D beam type of interface to play accent instruments or pads..
A guitar voicing feature that allows the proper guitar voice played on keys.
An multi-track recording feature..
A complete USB audio/midi interface..
A keyboard that can also function as a complete midi controller,
with separate control of internal sounds..
A keyboard that handles conversion styles properly..
A quality built unit that would last..
I must say..right now I have most of the above covered..but it takes 2 or 3 keyboards to do so..
Roland G70, Lionstracs Media Station..and a 76 key midi controller..
Now if a company came out with all these features..
.
It would not matter if it was a Casio, or any other brand..
