I think the pricing is also the stores competing to get sell the most units. These top of the line products usually sell straight after launch, then they stop selling. And the stores forget to remove, or re-price the older models. I've seen online stores still charging 10000 for a Roland E-60, which has been out of production for some time now...
I remember when the PA2X came, one store sold the PA1X Pro 5000,- higher than the new board.
