Forewarning, I can hardly contain my excitement. After spending over a month deliberating between: buying a Tyros4 (feat. new real & brush drum kits, new SA2 voices & new vocal sounds & styles + improved vocal harmonizer), buying a Ketron Audya (feat. outstanding audio drum-instr loops), or simply waiting to see what Korg brings out in 2011 (possibly incorporating M3 sounds and/or Karma functions?), I've finally made my decision. I acknowledge that Audya and Korg PA both have a lot to offer, but weighing the all features most important to me, I keep coming back to the Yamaha Tyros4 with it's user friendly OS familiarity and terrific yamaha aftermarket support: new styles, sounds, user community forums + tons of 3rd party software/utilities, After a month of watching online Tyros4 YouTube clips, talking to Tyros4 owner friends around the world, and watching & hearing them play their Tyros4 'live' via video skype, I'm well convinced now that Tyros4's a major upgrade from my Tyros2, so ordered a Tyros4 a couple of days ago from my Yamaha dealer Frank ( AudioWorks ) The next day he called me to let me know that his latest T4 shipment just arrived, and that my Tyro4 is already 'on its way' to me via UPS. I now feel like a little kid counting down the days till Santa arrives. I'll post my impressions & a review once I take delivery of it and had some time playing it. Scott

Originally posted by Thilo: Hi Scott, congratulations my friend... Thilo, it's a wonderful surprise to find your reply here on Synthzone, especially realizing you're a leading member of the Yamaha Germany Keyboard Forum . My only regret is that I'm not proficient in reading German. Originally posted by Thilo:
I am working on my first YT-Video. I have now T4 over a month and every day i have new ideas... Cool! Can't wait to see it, and also hearing about your 'new ideas'. Originally posted by Thilo: Sure, T4 was not my love at first sight (as we all know the Music finder-Video...), but the second view is more deeper Yep, this appears to be a common initial reaction that I've heard from other T4 owner friends as well, especially those that upgraded from T3. T4 sounds dramatically different (more alive & richer textures) so I suspect it's simply the initial shock of how different it sounds, but once playing technique & tweaking adjustments are made, everyone I've talked to asured me they're rewarded with an incredible unsurpassed sound. I trust this to be the case when I get my Tyros4 as well.

Originally posted by SemiLiveMusic: it doesn't matter anyhow. So, good luck, I hope it is a big upgrade, let us know. Hi Bill, even though I already opted to go with the Tyros4, I value 'your opinion', especially since you opted to go with the Ketron Audya, right? Man, I'm convinced that all the top arrangers these days are excellent, and it simply comes down to finding the one with features that 'best match' your music genre specialty or playing style/requirement. That said, I'd love to hear more about your experiences with your new Ketron Audya. btw, congratulations. - Scott
