Rap and Hip Hop, although quite strong primarily in the US and some other parts of the world, will never "take over".

There are always people who like Rock/pop/mainstream/country/latin/ballroom/dance/trance/house and those genres will never die.

There is an abundance of young people learning music all over the world and their music books are not filled with rap and hip tracks and I don't think that is going to change any time soon.

also - when people are out at restaurants and anything borderline "Classy", they don't want to hear hip hop and rap. (no offence but you have to admit its not everyone's taste)

Where I live, and I'm sure in other cites as well, even the classy restaurants/clubs etc. tend to not book classy music. They book the type of group that will bring in the best crowd. 'Best Crowd' to the restaurant/bar owner means a crowd that is going to spend the most on alcohol which turns out to be younger people. They may not necessarily want to hear rap or hip hop all night long, but I do know the majority of them don't want to hear standards or jazz.

an arranger with semi-weighted keys and sample ROM as good as Eastwest's libraries,although I have to say that some arrangers lately came up with very nice sounds already.

Sample libraries for keyboards are a waste of time. I want the sounds to be all there already, without killing myself to investigate/ buy sample libraries.

An arranger that is the antithesis of computers. That does NOT integrates with computers, because I came to really, really dislike them.

As for touchscreen or no touchscreen, I don't care. It should have a really well-specced sequencer and multitrack audio recorder, at the same time intuitive and easy to use.

And no 30 kg behemoth, please.

Those millions of rap/hiphop lovers will someday be in a nursing facility......
30/40 years from now that music will be piped in & their DJ rappers will entertaine them...every generation has their music.
Unklike the USA...Latin & all other ethnic music worldwide has a chance of survival.

By the time the Hip Hop generation reaches retirement/nursing home age we'll be long dead! And, by that time, those youngsters will likely have changed their attitudes about the type of music they enjoy. Keep in mind that big band, swing, etc.. has been making an incredible resurgence during the past few years. Same holds true with dancing. Younger folks are having the time of their life with ballroom dancing. Some colleges are currently holding credit courses on ballroom dancing. Who knows, when we're pushing up daisies the retirement community residents may be ballroom dancing to rumbas, cha chas, swing, etc.. They may dancing to the songs of Sinatra, Cole Porter, Dean Martin, and the like, while Scott Yee, who at age 90 wows them with his 88-key, Yamaha, arranger keyboard with fully weighted keys, an arranger that is made entirely of space age composites and weighs just 10 pounds.

Don't count out today's arrangers and the musicians that play them. I hope they are here to stay.
