This should especially appeal to the home player/karaoke enthusiast:

" The Christmas Song " as performed on the Tyros 4 using the "Christmas Ballad" style and featuring the Super Articulation 2 Clarinet voice.

On first watch & listen, I agree with Tony, especially 'watching the video' while listening thru computer speakers, as the visuals (to me) conjure up corny schmaltz especially with the big screen karaoke lyrics. The other thing is having to watch him play left hand chords without anything 'heard' sounding in his left hand, giving the visual impression that he's not really playing music with both hands.

That said, when I go back and play the clip again, selecting YouTube '720HD' mode, put on a good pair of high fidelity headphones (Sennheiser HD650's in my case) and close my eyes to only focus on the music, the music sounds expressive & polished like a well engineered CD. If you still don't like it, perhaps you simply don't appreciate the traditional Nat Cole style arrangement, or you simply prefer 'live & raw' to 'clean & polished'.

Lastly, keep in mind that the audio is still very compressed, even in 720HD mode. If heard live on the Tyros4 itself, the depth, detail, and expression would come across far better .

I didn't care for this version. If the player had dialed everything back about 50%, I think it would've been much more effective.

The T4 is an awesome board, but this tune, IMO didn't really grab me...

A bit MUSZAK sounding, however, I think the clairnet emulation was pretty good!
