When I was a kid at Christmas at my Grandparents, my grandfather would play this song on the accordion (button style - I could NEVER figure out that instrument) and my grandmother and mother would sing it ... I am not ashamed to say that when I found this on youtube I got chills and tears in my eyes listening to it ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAufwdN7m2k
Very cool. I love his work. My wife LOVES his songs. If I ever wanted to get on her good side, I'd plan a trip to Rome or somewhere surreal to see him in an orchestrated concert - Oh my!
