This would have more credibility if it were officially from Korg and wasn't so vaguely worded by the "Administrator". Sorry to be so skeptical.

Korg would not even think about endorsing anything until they officially announce the new baby.

But..I think the new baby has it's blanket off!

Why not just wait and see...only 2 more weeks or so we'll know.

Agreed, leeboy. I'd happily have my skepticism removed - when we get it from the horse's mouth.

The speaker system, if this photo is to be trusted, is unusual, but somehow, cool looking too.

I'm wondering would it interfere with a music rack, or holder, the problem being that it would be quite far away if using a stand alone music rack, and the sound being obstructed by the music if the rack is mountable on the instrument.

That being said, perhaps there aren't any speakers in the middle...maybe a bass unit?

It is surely a great looking instrument. I love where they put the sliders...better than under the screen.

Ian

I'm skeptical too because it's a photo (that can be doctored) and not a video that would be really difficult to doctor.

It does look a bit crowded, don't you think, Ian? There's quite a lot of unused space which I think could've been better used. Either spread the buttons out a bit or have larger ones.

The dead giveaway that this is not true is the presentation mentions "Articulations". Korg refers to and has trademarked it as Defined Nuance Control - DNC.

I dont think its crowded, if you look at the model overall everything is like on the PA2X.

To me it looks like a 8 months late 1. April joke, or maybe a far too early one for 2011.

I can't imagine the next PA?X Pro (if any) going to look like this pic/video at all.
But maybe Casio will adapt it? .....

Cheers

A few people 'in the know' think it's pretty close.
We find out...maybe April 2011.

Yep, it does look awful crowded to me, too.

The worst about trying to have a button for nearly everything, is that it's a two-edged sword.

Access is supposedly improved, but it tends to get very busy, and a lot of those buttons look alike....could be tricky on stage in a dim light.

I think the darker color is very nice...I'm hoping the next S-series Yamaha have a black/dark finish. I never did like the silver, but, hey, if it sounds good, I suppose that's just a minor thing.

Won't be long before we find out if this picture is bogus or not; that is, if the rumors of a release in January are true.

That would be a first... Korg don't usually have any major keyboard releases at MusikMesse.

If it is coming, NAMM is where it will be released.
