The speaker system, if this photo is to be trusted, is unusual, but somehow, cool looking too. I'm wondering would it interfere with a music rack, or holder, the problem being that it would be quite far away if using a stand alone music rack, and the sound being obstructed by the music if the rack is mountable on the instrument. That being said, perhaps there aren't any speakers in the middle...maybe a bass unit? It is surely a great looking instrument. I love where they put the sliders...better than under the screen. [This message has been edited by ianmcnll (edited 12-29-2010).] It does look a bit crowded, don't you think, Ian? There's quite a lot of unused space which I think could've been better used. Either spread the buttons out a bit or have larger ones. Taike

Taike Yep, it does look awful crowded to me, too. The worst about trying to have a button for nearly everything, is that it's a two-edged sword. Access is supposedly improved, but it tends to get very busy, and a lot of those buttons look alike....could be tricky on stage in a dim light. I think the darker color is very nice...I'm hoping the next S-series Yamaha have a black/dark finish. I never did like the silver, but, hey, if it sounds good, I suppose that's just a minor thing. Won't be long before we find out if this picture is bogus or not; that is, if the rumors of a release in January are true. Ian
