I should have tacked this on to the "R&R" cart thread a few weeks back.

The cart is wonderful...(ROCK 'N ROLLER MULTI CART (model R10). The only glitch is the tires. I've had it at least 10 years now. These last few years, my tires either go completely flat, or I have to pump them with air pretty often. I remember once the inner tube was ripped apart and another time it was just a plain leak in the tube.

I'm thinking I might have to join the "inner tube of the month club" at this rate. Anyone else having problems with their tires?

Lucky

Ive had my R10 since there inception......I'd say I put air every 6 months....I've bought new front wheels w/brakes after 7 years....the rubber can dry rot on the back wheels also which makes them leak air.. just go on their site and buy new ones & you'll get another 10 years with them they have a good parts supply.....I use the cart EVERY DAY in all weather.

My only complaint is I wish they would make a better system with a quick release lever on top of the handle to close the cart instead of always having to bend down to squeeze the cable release !!!

There are allot of choices but the R&R to me is still the best for a musician gigging. http://www.rocknrollercart.com/downloads/R-Trac-Wheel-Press-Release-12-1-10-All-models-color.pdf

I had one tire that lost air every 6 months or so. One day I fired some fix-a-flat into the tire and it hasn't leaked since. Keep in mind the tires are fairly thin so the cart rides smoothly. Because of this, the tires are also easily punctured by the tiniest items. On one occasion I found a rose thorn sticking out of the tire. Fortunately, it was in the sidewall and didn't go all the way through. It wouldn't have taken much, though, to penetrate the rubber.

Good Luck,

Gary

Donny,

I looked at them once before and the first thing I noticed was there are no cross members on the cart's bed, and no center section. It would be fine for hauling bigger items, but I think the R&R is better for our purposes.

Yes Gary now that I looked at it in detail its a nice concept better for a DJ or guitar player setup.....not that advantageous for a keyboard right with stands, speakers, etc too many trips vs the R&R.......

I Gary.....I wish you could conjure up a way to incorporate a quick release mechanism on the R&R for a quick cable release that would be ON TOP of the front handle... instead of the one that is there now ARGGGG! Please so you don't have to BEND DOWN to release the cable lock
Mr Wizard!!! In case you do figure something out, I'll drive down immediately to have it refitted on my R&R!!! &
Steak Dinner is on my !

This would be very easy to do, and probably wouldn't take long to put together. I'll give you a call after the first of the year.

Happy New Year,

Gary

Dave,

Did you buy the R6 Mini with solid wheels, or do you have a knock-off from Wall Mart?

I did replace the flat tires on one of my R10, and put solid tires, they look the same, no difference....other than I had no more "flats"....Highly recommend to replace them, if memory serves me, the cost was very fair.
I am a happy camper with it, I will do the same to my other R10 backup.
