I've been busy learning the new differences on the T2. A definite upgrade by a long shot.

I may want to try recording live with a sax. I haven't tried any recording as of yet but have a couple questions.

Suppose the sax balance is too loud or soft on the recording. Can I change the sax volume after the recording so it fits the kb part? What about reverb for the sax, suppose it needs some livening up, but the kb is ok. Can I change the reverb on the sax after recording?

Lastly, I am hoping I can record a few tunes to a set stopping in between songs and continue recording so I don't have to fiddle with recording controls in between every song. Will this work?

Thanx

It would be with the HD on the Tyros 2.

Not as I understand it working. When recording to the internal HD, it records it as a stereo file. As opposed to individual tracks, as it does on the song creator or the midi fast recording. Those 2 are recording midi data to seperate tracks.

One can do 2 things at once such as sing into a mic and play the board and record both. I do not see how it can then be seperated after for editing.

It can though be exported as a wav to a sequencing program tweaked and then brought back into the T2.

Lastly, I am hoping I can record a few tunes to a set stopping in between songs and continue recording so I don't have to fiddle with recording controls in between every song. Will this work?

Tell me more I am not sure what you want here. You can create a playlist that you can playback like a jukebox and you can also use savable custom settings to record.

Hi Terry

I never recorded live with the Tyros1, even though I tend to play better in front of a live audience, because I didn't want one more thing to fiddle with between each tune.

What I am asking here is can I just set it on record, play a song and end the song, let the record function continue without pushing any buttons other than to set up the next tune and play it, stop and repeat, possibly as long as 45 minutes to an hour, THEN turn off the record, save it(?), then do the same thing the next set.

Thanx
Scott

Ah now I get it. You want to do a "live at" sort of thing.

That's a no because,

To change say to a new style, you have to stop the recorder by doing so you then have to setup for a new song again by creating a new folder for it.

You could of course do that with an external recorder though.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, But if I am playing live and switch to a new style in the middle of another song I should be able to do that as always, I'd think. And if that is the case, I would think I could do the other, unless the recorder automatically shuts off at the end of a tune???

Hi everyone,

I have made some live recordings with my T2 in it's recently installed HD, and you can pre-program some registrations and play/record live.
If the sax that you refer is an actual sax player or the sound from the T2? If is a sax player recording with a micro conected into the T2, once is recorded, nothing can be chane, reverb, volume, etc... If it is the T2's sax, once recorded the song is done, also apply the non chage on the balance, etc....unless you make a midi file, edited to your liking, then, record it into audio.
I did some experimenting, and I used the Cake/Sonar, I made a midi file, edited, then played from the computer and activated the audio recording feature in the T2, and it Works.....even from an external source.

And as far it goes the recording, once you activated the audio recording feature, I did use my registrations to enable me to change my overall settings and that way, I have no problems at all doing it this way.
I recorded several tunes, now the only thing is that you may have to export those wave sounds into your PC and using the Sound Forgue /Wave lab, etc......edit, cut and perhaps save the songs individualy for future use.
I hope I understud your question..... Sorry for the English, is my second languaje.

Hi

Thanx for the input. I guess I need to be a little more clear, I know what I'm talking about anyway.haha

I was talking about recording with a mic using another person playing/blowing on a real sax.
