Hi all I wonder if it's just my keyboard but I have a difficult time copying parts from one section to the another I get an out of memory message. I didn't use much of my internal memory!
For example I want to use guitar serenade but want a strum to go along with the picking. Variation B has a strum. However they are both on the Chord #1 section of the accompaniment. Is it possible to copy this strum and to assign it to Chord # 2 on the accompaniment? Thsi is where I get an out of memory message.

1 month old question. You can maybe try ask your question over at www.Tyros2.Net and see if someone over there can answer your question.

You use the Style mix & Match in the keyboard. This enables you to copy style parts from one style to another. It's wise to use styles from the same catagory.
Put the styles you want to work on into USER. This make life easy by them all being in the same place.

It's all in the manual.

Jørgen: I failed latin. Are you using Fora as the plural of Forum? I think Forums is more common. But not as classy.

Seems as both "Forums" and "Fora" is acceptable ( http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/forum ).

I might change to "Forums".

BTW: We have the same discussion in Danish about "Virus" ("Virusser" or "Vira").

A style may consist of up to 8 parts, such as Rhy1, Rhy2, Bass etc.
But every part can internally consist of more than one midi track. Of coarse the number of midi channels is limited to 16. So it may happen, when parts from different styles are copied into one style, that all 16 midi channels are already occupied. In that case the "out of memory" message occurs. The message is misleading, it should read: out of midi channels, because there are not more than 16 midi channels on one cable or within one style or one midi file.

When using Yamaha Style Mix & Match it replaces style parts with the part selected..it does NOT add to them. So the Styles remains with the same number of channels.

Ok: one part is replaced by one different part. But the two concerned parts may internally consist of a different numbers of midi channels. It is easy to understand: just open a style in your software sequencer and check the number of midi channels with the same prg# number. Some guitar parts in Tyros consist of up to 4, 5 or even more midi channels. I know it, I have made some of them.
