Here it is November 25, 1999, Thanksgiving day and I've found a new Discussion group. It is a ball reading the topics you all wrote about back in June and July, before most of you bought your X1's. Now we all seem to have become good friends on the Chris Hansen Discussion Group, and we will continue here. I really like the way this works, being able to read all the followups at once and getting into many other valuable topics.
I look foward to our continuing dialog about Solton and other arranger keyboards.

Yeah, thanks, George. Well, this is good news, isn't it?--a place for us X1 owners to get answers and share ideas.

BTW, when do you expect the vocalizers to arrive at your store? And what are the basic capabilities and the latest price info?

Thanks,
John Z

I'm just trying to boost up my replies so I can graduate from "junior member". We're still waiting, here in Philly for the vocalist kits too. Everyones got their fingers crossed.

I'll bet I make Full Member before you do.
But it's kinda nice being a Junior again. I got a Senior Citizen discount at a buffet the other night and it made me mad because they didn't even ask if I was old enough, they just assumed it! That's what I get for going out in the daytime.

I'm replying because I need another brownie point. I don't mind the senior discount I get. What bothers me is the "Oh!!! Your still alive" statements I get?

Les,
I see I'm no longer a junior. Maybe George Kaye will give us a Senior Citizen discount on the X2 when it comes out!

If George doesn't, then he is assuming we will spend really BIG bucks on the X2 (when it comes out) and really CHEAP dollars on our funerals.

What do you guys think this is, the IHOP restaraunt or something? I'm 49 and I can't wait till I'm 55 so I can get the pancake house discount of 10%.
Hey, if Solton does come out with an X2, they would have to change the next model to a new name because Korg used to make an X3 workstation. Maybe they could call it a MS60X !!!!!!!
Seriously, Les, since you have already bought 2 keyboards from me, you would definetely get that senior member discount!

George: Good on the senior discount. I may need it, depending on what the 9000 has over the 8000.

No senior discount at 49??? My wife is 48 and she gets senior discounts because I do. Of course it helps with her not shaving for a week. Ages her.

P.S. I'm dead

Les,
You'd better hope your wife doesn't read this forum! You'll be needed a discount on a casket.
If she's like mine, though, she's used to all this musician b.s.
It takes a special type of lady to put up with us "pickers".

My wife fully understands as I pick on her in person.

So how come I have such a happy marriage?

Simple - I know when to grovel and do it well and often.
