I couldn't agree with you more Eddie. I've had the T4 almost four weeks and have spent the best part of 3 weeks trying to get it to work properly. Apparently it has what is described as a 'glitch' but I'd say it has the same problems as the KN6000 in that the volume is either very loud or almost inaudible and the styles tend to 'hang' the only solution being to switch off and restart the keyboard.
Yamaha finally produced a version 1.02 on the 22nd December last since which time, I've been trying to get it to download properly. The keyboard shows the new version as having been successful, but still, some of the styles 'hang'. As you say, the operation system is 'a joke' in comparison to the simplicity of the Technics. Even though I love the sound and the fact it feels like an acoustic piano, if I can't get it sorted tomorrow, it's going back to the Dealer I'm really 'cheesed off' with it.
Thank goodness, I've still got my KN7000, it may have an old fashioned analogue sound, but at least it's response is instant and a joy to play.
