Even though I have been too lazy to respond to a lot of Scott's recent posts, I appreciate that he is creating threads that are fostering "community."

I have recently reflected that I have become too much of a consumer - of information, gadgets - even experiences, and not an actor.

There is a lot of woe in the world, and the world needs more actors - not consumers.

Not that Scott's posts are solving world hunger. But they do increase connectedness - not at the "We Are The World" level. That's not what this forum is about. More at the level of showing interest in other people's thoughts, experiences and sharing insights.

Yes ... nearly ... now if only some of us would/could post some of the music we are working on and NOT have it turn into a 4 page mud sling about what kb is better and why are you so stoooopid as to not realize it !!! ...

Absolutely enjoyed recent posts by Scott. They were thoughtful and promoted the kind of sharing I come here for.

What a shame he was gone for a while.

Thanks, Scott!

Thanks for noticing. Nothings changed, as ever since I first discovered arrangers & joined this forum back in the late 90's, I've been wanting this to be a supportive place where arranger keyboardists from all around the world could come together to share & discuss our unique one man band style of music production and performing. I believe we can (and should) continue our 'spirited' debates, but simply without the 'my keyboards better than yours' pissing contests. Afterall, no one keyboard brand/model is necessarily better than another, but simply designed to appeal to different tastes, music performance venues/genres, playing requirements, and/or budgets.

That said, the thing I enjoy most about this forum is discovering the many different ways members utilize & play 'their' arranger keyboard, whether amateur hobbyist, semi pro, or full time working professional. It's all about what we share in common: music and arranger keyboard playing. - Scott
