the Kronos is probably the result of all the Oasys research and product development packed into a nice tidy little synth. I MUST HAVE ONE (site and listen unseen) LOL.
I wonder if the speaker assembly can be reversed to face the audience?
That speaker looks very awkward..would like to see a rear pic of this unit also...I hope it's optional and your not stuck paying for it as standard factory equipment. The unit looks much Wider now but slimer in Length .....

Yes on the early concept pics the speaker looked more, ummmm, elegant in my view??
Perhaps on the 76 note version it won't look as "clunky"

What I don't like about the speaker assembly is it hides your hands. It will be harder for the audience to see that you are actually playing. Instead of doing karaoke tracks or whatever it is that they think.

No Donny...that's not the guy! Least I hope not. I honestly hope they hit it hard tommorrow...but it IS possible they decided at the last moment to announce now instead of waiing for Musikmess! That's where the real arranger gang will be. If that's the case they may not have much of a plan?? Hope I'm wrong.
I agree with the speakers hiding your hands. It definitely would give a false image of live playing. If that's the only on-board speaker option, It would be difficult to switch from the 800 (for me).

I'm not fussed about onboard speakers, seems they're optional anyway. What concerns me a little is where does the music stand plug into? If it sits above that speaker bar, that's going to add a lot of visual barrier to the audience.

what did you all think of tyhe sound in the demo. I was less than impressed and thats really really not good. Its sounds like they used the same samples from the PA1X. The difference between the sound of the Tyros 2 to Tyros 4 you can hear the sonic jump in quality. I didnt hear this with the Pa3X compared to my PA1X. I hope there are more deoms to come that show off the instrument to its best effect. So far i am dissappointed
