Bose doesn't come down much from MAP.
This is $499, minus problem another $50.
Of course I'd rather have the Bose!!
George, does that price for the 61 include the optional hard drive?
Thanks,
DonM

On top of that you couldn't use that speaker on an Apex KB stand...does it at least turn toward the audience? and what are the specs on it, power, watts etc, etc, ..?

The 61 key PA3x does not include the Hard Drive as standard. On the other hand, on the 76 key version the Hard Drive is included.

All the best,
Mike

If that speaker bar sounds amazing and has studio like clarity with a flat response it just might well be worth it. Korg upped the ante on total Watts and it even has a subwoofer. I agree though that $500 bucks is a little disheartening. But if it really does sound stupendous then, again, it could be worth it. Also, there's no fiddling around trying to set things up. You just attach it and BINGO! start playing. No wires or power supply or screws, etc., to mess with at all from what I understand. That in itself is worth an additional cost in my opinion. But $500 bucks? Korg is going to have to really come through big time if they think people will fork over half a grand for a lousy speaker bar. On the other hand, an excellent speaker bar - maybe. wink

All the best,
Mike

The speaker bar has 6 speakers, a mid range and tweeter stereo set facing you, then 2 subwoofers that fire downward towards the floor.

From what I heard the speaker set is better than what came with the PA800.

I think if you can save 5 minutes everytime you set up your monitoring speaker, you will pay for it in no time

would of been nice if it could also rotate and face the audience for small gigs?

I passed on the MS04's when I got my Tyros 4, and continue to use my old MS02's with switched out satellites on T4, for the very smallest intimate venues and casual jams. cool

My MS02 + Bose 161 Setup with Tyros 2:

Nice picture..I remember them well with my Tyros 2.... but now for me ..anything smaller then powered 15"s or 12"s in stereo are taking away from the sound range of the instrument IMO...
