I just ordered a Logitech Z2300 2.1 powered speaker system

to use with my Yamaha Tyros 4 for the smaller (less than 40-50 people) venues. I'm currently using the MS02 + Bose 161's mounted atop the keyboard for the smallest venues, but after hearing my friend Pose's Tyros 4 + Z2300 setup (and comparing it with my MS02 + Bose 161 setup), convinced the Logitech Z2300 a much better sounding small PA setup for Tyros 4, delivering a LOT more Power and quality sound. At $109.00 (from Amazon.com) including free shipping, that sealed the deal for me. I'll let you know how it works out when I actually receive it (Jan 27-29). smile

btw: anybody else here using the Logitech Z-2300 with their arranger keyboard?

Here's a pic of my bigger 'customized (by Pose)' Logitech Z-5500 PA System which I use for larger venues:

Here's a pic of my current Bose 161 Satellite Speaker mounted atop my Tyros 2 keyboard:

I still have a z2200 and also a z2300 (oh... and a z5500) and yep, works great. I don't care what anyone THINKS, it's a quite adequate PA for small gigs. You got a steal of a price!

I have two Z2200's, one for small gigs, or double gigs, and one for my computer sound. I have a Z5500 in the living room with the TV system. Incredible job for such low-cost gear. And Logitech has the best customer support ever.
Scott, you can easily adapt two of those old wire music stands, by throwing away the music holder, and squeezing and bending the part that slides out to fit the slots on the satellites.
Get a wheeled bag from Walmart and the sub, sats, folded stands and cables all fit in it. I use an old Eon speaker bag that I just happened to have around for mine.
I velcro the remote control to the top of the sub and it is always where I can find it.

Scott has that thing ever tipped over its looks so top heavy?

Z2300 was ok for me but after a week or so I couldn't live without the loss of MIDS. My kidd uses as it should be used for his PS2 game console smile

I have the Z-2300 system...the satellites are different than the ones for the Z-2200, and there are no slots in them in which to attach the adapted wire music stands.

They are made to sit on a flat surface.

Mine sit on a wall shelf behind the keyboard...I don't use them for gigging.

Yeah, but only when I bang shocked on the keys! (just kidding laugh )

The Bose 161's (and soon to be Z-2300 speakers) are securely mounted to the original MS02 satellite's swivel base units (2), of which are securely attached to the keyboard itself. It may look top heavy, but it's a solid perch of which affords the convenience of being able to quickly adjust & aim the satellite speakers in 'any' direction. cool

I think he's asking about the BIG unit.

Ahhh, ok. Though the setup may look top heavy, the pic doesn't clearly reveal how the 3 parts (sub woofer, center wood piece, and upper cabinet) are actually secured and inter-locked together like a speaker mounted on an Ultimate Brand Speaker stand. It would take someone to lean hard against it to knock the PA system over, and probably the same risk as someone knocking the keyboard off its stand. That said, I love the flexibility of this custom system because the Top cabinet can also optionally be placed on floor and 'tilted back' on it's 2 'chrome' wing style legs (one on each side) to project up from the floor. In that configuration, the center piece is not utilized. smile

Hi Nick,

They really are awesome speakers. The sub kicks booty.

How do you set yours up...do you have stands for the satellites?

I'd love to use mine at smaller gigs with the S910.
