Yeah, but only when I bang shocked on the keys! (just kidding laugh )

The Bose 161's (and soon to be Z-2300 speakers) are securely mounted to the original MS02 satellite's swivel base units (2), of which are securely attached to the keyboard itself. It may look top heavy, but it's a solid perch of which affords the convenience of being able to quickly adjust & aim the satellite speakers in 'any' direction. cool

I think he's asking about the BIG unit.

Thanks guys for all the great feedback on the Logitech Z-2300's. I placed the order earlier today and have now already received a UPS tracking number from Amazon. Wow! cool

Does anyone have any ideas for setting up the Z-2300 satellite speakers for gigging?

Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Already gave mine, but some modifications would have to be made to accommodate the new design as far as using music stands as speaker stands.
You have to keep the sub turned down pretty low, or it will blow everyone away.

Yes, I saw your mods, Don...Scott tells me (phoned me) that the brackets for the Yamaha Tyros2/3 speakers will support the Z-23000 satellites...I think they can be attached with screws.

When I get the Tyros4, I'll just have Yamaha send me a set of brackets...I never use the optional sound system...we always use Stagepas 500 for clinics/demos.

For stand alone work, maybe there's a stand that will work with the Z-23000 satellites...or something that can be modified?

The sub for the Z-2300 is much like (or the same as) the one with the Z-2200...it requires a careful adjustment with the volume...the sub has quite a low end punch, and the whole system, which I paid about $175 for when I bought it, is a super bargain, and sounds incredible.

Scott's price was the "offer he couldn't refuse". wink

Congratulations. Hope you dig it.

As you know, I have two FBT Maxx 2A speakers for all my gigs. If it's small and low paying, I only bring in one speaker. For shows larger than normal, I bring the subwoofer from my Z-5500.

Can you fit both this system and the other one in your vehicle?

It would be too bad if you arrived at what you thought was going to be a small gig, and when you got there you saw that it was a larger event than you thought, and you were stuck with the Z-2300's.

Anyway, are you modifying these for gigging? Swapping cables and casing? Or are you going to attach the satellites to your keyboard?

Hi Everyone:

Scott was curious as to what settings I used on the Logitech Z2300, So I copied them from my Ty4

and posting, thought others might want to try them also........................pose

POZ 1 Eq Settings

+7 +4 +3 +4 +6 EQ

2.1 2.0 1.4 2.1 2.5 Q

4.0 400 250 4.0 630 Freq.

POZ 1 CMP Settings

-20 +2 +8

(Pretty Radical but works for me)

I mounted the speakers onto the ty4 using the MS-02 brackets.

Guessing it will do a nursing home of 50 people, (or if you're Gary playing to "80" with 2 ol gents with hearing aide's beating their table tops with their canes, yelling "turn it down, turn it down").......LOL

Thanks POZ...I will try these settings when the Tyros4 arrives in a week or so.

I will also get the MS-02 brackets separately.

Poz, thanks for posting the settings. smile How about posting a couple of shots of your new Z-2300/T4 setup, with Z-2300 satellites mounted to their MS02 swivel bases, and perched atop your Tyros 4 keyboard! cool

btw: UPS has just updated my Z-2300 scheduled delivery date to Wednesday Jan 26. It's coming from Phoenix, Az. Wow, you certainly can't beat Amazon's super saver FREE shipping delivery speed on this one. smile
