I simply added this category on this separate thread because I forgot to include it in the music genre section of this other poll thread. The purpose of this poll is to find out how many people enjoy playing religious, gospel, sacred aka worship and prayer music. The only reason I had to create two entry choices is because I was under the impression that polls allow a minimum of two selection choices. The total number of "yes" votes is the relevant one to use to integrate with the other music genres choices in the 'music genre' poll.

In light of the complaints by Jorgen and Semilive, perhaps consolidating this thread together with the other thread now, might be a good idea, but only Nigel can do this. Man, there sure seems to be a lot negative energy on the forum in the last 24 hours. Are the stars out of alignment today or something? You guys need to lighten up a bit. I initiated the polls because I had thought the membership would find them fun, informative, and useful. How do others feel?

Well, all I can say, Scott, is keep up the good work.

In regards to the recent seeming negativity...I suppose some people seem to go through life standing at the complaint counter.

I remember this saying from a friend in AA (he was not the author)

"You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses."

The polls have been very informative, both for SZ'ers and perhaps also for any manufacturer's reps who may be lurking.

Hi

I was NOT negative.
I just found it a bit strange that the front page in this forum was filled with stationary subjects. (Polls and explanation about forum features).

My intention was to get a BETTER forum!

Best wishes
Jørgen

PS:
Personally I dont care for polls. Is this negative? I think not. It is an opinion.

PPS:
Scott, dont get me wrong: You are a great guy, but we just dont have the same opinion on this.

Wasn't it Donald Rumsfeld who said if you're not being criticized you're not doing anything!

I understand your point of view. But you must realize the initial stickies regarding the forum features were necessary when the software had changed after 12 years. I needed to make people aware of how to use the new forum so they wouldn't get confused. It's not like they were permanent.

This poll was just an addendum to Scott's other poll because he forgot to include this category that someone wanted.

Jorgen, no worries my friend. smile My issues re: negatism were't specifically directed at you, but comments made by others on other recent threads as well, where there seems to be a new found (s)nippy-ness in the air, perhaps the result of having had to endure an unusually cold winter. It's raining here in San Francisco today, but sunny and clear weather's predicted for this weekend's Chinese New Year Parade. 'Gung Hay Fat Choy' to all. cool

Nigel, why not put polls in a dedicated SZ Forum for polls?

Wish I could be there right now.
It has been a long winter in Denmark. Snow began Nov. 24; and we had a lot of snow, wind and cold in the beginning of this week. No more snow in the next week; but very cold and some wind. :-((

Best wishes
Jørgen
