Gary, This has to be one of your finest posts. Years back I sang the song at a wedding, It was always a special singer's song. Your post just gave the song a full meaning, I became sad when watching. That time was my time. Thanks, John C.

Interesting video . Some I didn't recognize, so it was great to see their names displayed and be able to conveniently look them up on Wikipedia. Odd thing is that Orson Wells said something to the effect like 'they aren't around anymore', but a least one of those comedians featured, like Carol Burnett, are actually still alive. I certainly wouldn't appreciate being labeled dead before my time.
You know you're the oldest geezer on the board when you recognize each and every one of the clownish entertainers and artists depicted in this fantastic video. What a gem of a performance by Frank. Thanks for sharing.

I remember Egar behind the 8 ball to start his 15 minute skit at the movies in 1847. What about the three stooges. They were jewish from what I understand and they did a skit on Hitler. I'll never forget it. What about Lucy? Did I miss these guys? I was bent down low to the laptop trying to hear the song at the same time as watching at a noisy coffee shop.
