Try out Opera. It's quite fast, and it's getting good reports.
Just don't let it be your default browser before you're familiar to it.
My favourite over IE Explorer.

Cheers
GJ

Btw, Firefox is a very good alternative too.

I use Firefox at home, and have for years. I have Chrome on my laptop, but I like Firefox better. Opera works well too.

Firefox on my Windows machines, Safari on my Macs. Safari is just OK, but it is native to the Mac. Firefox seems to be the best, I have Chrome installed but don't really care for it.

Chrome...used Firefox, but Chrome is faster and more reliable. Wouldn't give you tuppence for Safari or Opera to be honest..

Been trialling the beta IE9 and it's not too bad at all....

laugh m8, opinions on this one are like bums, everyone has one, and are very happy to express it!!!!

I use MSexplorer, though I have opera, firefox, google chrome on my home system as well.

Main reason to use explorer is that everything keeps working without changing settings and I can find everything.

A good example is the new forum lay out which I was completely unaware off since I have't been here for a while.
Everything works smoothly...

Several years ago I switched from IE to Firefox..loved it. Later switched to Google Chrome. Loved it even more. Then...my Gmail address book got hijacked. Google had no solutions. I closed my Gmail and uninstalled Chrome.

Lately I went back to IE...v8. Much improved.

I still have Firefox but IEv8 is doing the job and has a lot of added protection from previous versions.

Internet Explorer 8 [works perfect with Windows 7 Laptop]

Firefox on XP [Desktop]

Not crazy about Google Chrome...or Google Mail for that matter

Scott...
Absolutely nothing wrong with XP. I have been helping a lot of folks with computer problems. XP is still a reliable OS.

While Vista took a lot of hits...if you look carefully at Win7, you will find it is very similar to Vista. Frankly, I haven't found a lot of problems in either.

My prefs are still Win95 and XP

I have IE 8, Firefox, Opera and Chrome and my Win 7 machine and use virtual XP for some older devices I have, however I mainly use IE 8 (Couldn’t get on with IE 9) which does pretty much all of what I want, with chrome as a backup for the odd site that IE doesn’t like.

On my Ubuntu install I use the supplied Firefox Browser which integrates nicely with the OS.

I also have IE 8 and Chrome on my XP install (Although I haven’t used the XP install for ages as Win 7 is so much smoother and nice (XP is still a good OS though)

I started using Firefox because it had WAY fewer viruses and malware than IE. Not sure if it's still true, but I still like it.

Donny,
take a look at www.opera.com and read about it. It's not just a real good browser, it's a downloadmanager, emailclient or whaterver you wanna customise it to do.
Also the "quick choice" when you can have 9 different pages open as mosaic startpage at the first page is a cool thing.
And not to forget, one of the fastest browser there is as well as using minimal power from your hardware!

Cheers
