Spoke to a Yamaha demonstrator over the weekend, his name was Bert....

he told me that Yamaha would have some surprises for everyone at Musikmesse...

-Tyros 4 rack
-Tyros 4 pro with 76 keys

-Cubase based studio workstation with buildin cubase and VST support... Including a hardware upgrade program for the future...
-VST version of the MOTIF XF, even works with the KARMA software
-VST versions of many of their previous synths
-VSTversion of Tyros 4
-Everything else needed to build your own dreamsystem.

-Modular solo synth with all possible synthesis engines that lets you combine building blocks of the different engines in a modualr sense...

Btw, if T4 Pro 76 going to be a reality, I will look at it very OPENMINDED!

Bert Smorenburg perhaps?? He's the Yammie demo guy and has some of the best chops around. Anyway, whoever the Bert was that he was talking about it should be interesting to find out what product or products he was referring to. If Yamaha brings out a "PRO" 76 key T4 I will be absolutely "floored". Heart attack is more like it. I won't hold my breath though. If the T4 is already selling well, which it no doubt is, then I don't really see the need for Yamaha to give potential customers a 76 key version out of the goodness of their cold blooded and calculated money hungry heart, do you? lol

A more likely scenario would be possibly a better speaker system add-on for the current 61 key T4 perhaps. Korg's Pa3x mind-blowing speaker add-on looks to garner many accolades if indeed it is as powerful and great sounding as the hype suggests it might be. Or perhaps an arranger "module" from Yamaha? Roland's new arranger module puts a little spice into the mix and maybe Yammie is wanting to counter that threat possibly. Or maybe we'll see some additional "custom voices" on the horizon. Voices that you'll end up paying for perhaps, but the quality is right up there with the best available including VST'i?? We'll have to wait a couple months to find out though.

Let the games begin! Or in this case, let the "wait" begin I guess huh...

If this is true, this may indeed trump anything Korg and Ketron may have to offer. I for one would love a T4 Module to go with either my Motif or Audya, I mean wow the best of all worlds, and just quietly, I think the pre launch of the Korg PAX3 was a disgrace, what the hell do they think they were doing? The T4 demo's put it to shame with exception of the TC Helicon voicing on the PA3X it looked as though it was a poor makeover for the PA2X.

I for one now will be waiting for Musicmesse to see what happens should be very interesting, and come on Ketron pull your finger out on Audya and get some new spice into it as well.

That'll be the day ......
Before any new spice, they have to make it work well and build it solid so the customers don't have to open and reconnect cables!

I believe everything Bachus has heard sounds reasonable...and I hope it happens!
I will be waiting to see, much like many others....but, I will continue to persure the build your own organ idea.
It will be of course be only an arranger with lower & pedals.

Why would there be? According to many here 61 is preferred. (I'm not one of those only wantng 61). I thinkif Yamaha offers a 76 they will sell plenty of them (just like I have always said) as many do not want to be cramped up into just 61.

I'm talking about people that already bought a tyros4 that wanted a 76 and settled on a 61
